Replace Missing Teeth with Beautiful Implant Crowns

A missing tooth can affect more than just your smile—it can impact your confidence, speech, and ability to chew comfortably. Cosmetic implant crowns offer a permanent, natural-looking solution by replacing the visible portion of a missing tooth with a custom-crafted crown that is securely attached to a dental implant.

At Freemans Bay Dental, we create high-quality implant crowns that are carefully designed to blend seamlessly with your natural teeth, restoring both the beauty and function of your smile.

Dental implants are the closest possible replacement to natural teeth, provide  a stable foundation for eating and smiling with confidence. It also removes the need to compromise healthy teeth for a bridge, can eliminate the pain caused by ill fitting dentures, helps to preserve jawbone and maintain the shape of the face.
Implants have a long term success rate of over 95% shown in clinical studies. Studies so far have shown that these implants can last as long as 25 years.

Though as Implants require surgery, patients must  have adequate level of bone to support the Implant to be able to go ahead with this procedure. If there is not enough bone, it may need to be added with a procedure called bone augmentation or bone grafting. Patients should also be ready to commit to daily oral care regime & regular dental  visits as longevity & success of Implants depend on your oral hygiene care.

Implant Procedure

Stage 1: The first stage of treatment  will be placement of Implants, for which we refer you to an Implant specialist or a general dentist who has had advanced training in the placement of Implants.

Stage 2: Our dentist will  expose the healing abutment (the top part of the Implant) & take an impression. The impressions are then sent to the laboratory to construct the crown/ Implant bridge (in case of more than 2 missing teeth), which can take approx 2 weeks or less to make the permanent crown.

Stage 3:  Permanent custom made  Crown/Bridge constructed by our highly experienced dental technician, is finally cemented onto the Implant abutment. The colour & shape of this crown is as natural as possible.

Restore Your Smile with a Cosmetic Implant Crown

Everything You Need to Know

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a cosmetic implant crown?
A cosmetic implant crown is a custom-made porcelain or ceramic tooth that is attached to a dental implant. It is designed to replace a missing tooth while restoring the natural appearance, function, and aesthetics of your smile.
How is a cosmetic implant crown different from a dental bridge?
A cosmetic implant crown is supported by a dental implant placed in the jawbone, whereas a dental bridge relies on neighbouring teeth for support. Implant crowns preserve adjacent healthy teeth and help maintain jawbone health.
Will my implant crown look like a natural tooth?
Yes. Your implant crown is custom-designed to match the colour, shape, size, and contours of your surrounding teeth, providing a seamless and natural-looking result.
Who is a good candidate for a cosmetic implant crown?
You may be a suitable candidate if you have one or more missing teeth, healthy gums, and sufficient jawbone to support a dental implant. Your dentist will perform a comprehensive assessment to determine if implant treatment is right for you.
How long does the treatment take?
The complete treatment process usually takes several months. After the implant is placed, it needs time to fuse with the jawbone before the custom implant crown is fitted. Your dentist will provide a personalised treatment timeline based on your needs.
Is getting an implant crown painful?
The implant procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic, making it comfortable for most patients. Mild swelling or discomfort after surgery is normal and typically subsides within a few days.
How long do cosmetic implant crowns last?
With good oral hygiene and regular dental check-ups, the implant crown can often last 10 to 15 years or longer. The dental implant itself can last for decades, and in many cases, a lifetime with proper care.
