Restore the Strength, Function, and Beauty of Your Smile
Damaged or missing teeth can affect your ability to eat, speak, and smile with confidence. Dental crowns and bridges are reliable restorative treatments designed to rebuild weakened teeth and replace missing ones, restoring both the function and appearance of your smile.
At Freemans Bay Dental, we provide custom-made crowns and bridges that are carefully crafted to look, feel, and function like your natural teeth. Using high-quality materials and advanced techniques, we create long-lasting restorations tailored to your individual needs.
Crown
A dental crown is a custom-made restoration designed to cover and protect a damaged, weakened, or heavily restored tooth. Often referred to as a “cap”, a crown fits securely over the entire visible portion of the tooth, restoring its strength, shape, size, and appearance while helping prevent further damage.
Crowns can also be used cosmetically to improve the appearance of your teeth and your smile especially anterior teeth.
At Freemans Bay Dental, we create high-quality, natural-looking crowns that are carefully matched to your surrounding teeth, helping you regain a healthy, functional, and confident smile.
Bridges
Dental bridge literally bridge the gap created by one or more missing teeth and is supported by natural teeth or implants. A bridge is a fixed dental restoration used to replace a missing tooth by joining an artificial or false tooth permanently to adjacent tooth.
A traditional bridge joins the natural teeth in the mouth, called abutment teeth, with one or more fake teeth, called pontic teeth. The abutment teeth on either side of the gap receive crowns that anchor the pontic tooth in place. Of all dental bridges, traditional bridges are the most common and are typically made of ceramic or porcelain fused to metal.
Getting a bridge will likely take at least two appointments. At the first appointment, the dentist prepares the teeth and places temporary crowns. Impressions of your teeth are also taken in this appointment and sent to the dental lab for fabrication. The actual bridge is placed at a later visit in nearly 1-2 weeks time once the custom made bridge is back from the dental laboratory.
We offer high quality ceramic bridges so please call us to know your best option for a missing tooth.
